- Structure: registrations are not allowed directly at the second level; names are registered at the third level under the predefined second-level labels (e.g., example.com.fj).
- Restrictions:
- Most subdomains have no restrictions, but certain second-level labels are reserved for specific types of entities (see "Usage and Audience" above).
- Registration and use must not violate the laws of the Republic of Fiji or accepted Internet community norms.
- The registry (USP) reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations that are libelous, defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, indecent, lewd, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable.
- Operational policy notes from the USP registration agreement:
- Registrations are automated, but the registry may review and cancel inappropriate names after registration.
- If a registration is canceled by the registry for being inappropriate, the registrant may register another name at no extra cost or receive a 75% refund (25% retained as administration fee).
- Dispute policy: the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) applies.
