History
- Delegation/implementation date: 3 June 1992.
- March 2013: a dispute over the ownership and control of AdamsNames Ltd. (the accredited registry at the time) affected .gd (alongside .vg and .tc). Some registrars stopped accepting new registrations during that dispute.
- 1 May 2013: NTRC moved the .gd zone under the management of KSRegistry (running as nicGD) to ensure zone integrity.
- May 2013: KSRegistry froze the zone from changes until 21 May 2013 to resolve discrepancies arising from the dispute; the zone was later re-opened with new policies.
