Overview
.kn is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Saint Kitts and Nevis. It was introduced on 3 September 1991 and is intended for entities connected with Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Registration Rules
Eligibility and restrictions:
- .kn is available to registrants worldwide, but certain second- or third-level labels (for example edu.kn) are limited to valid local Kittitian/Nevisian institutions.
- Domain names may be revoked if used for offensive, immoral or illegal purposes, including spam.
- For restricted labels, applicants may be asked to provide proof of identity or evidence of a properly constituted local organization. Offshore or international companies are not automatically considered local entities for restricted registrations.
Character and length rules:
- Allowed characters: letters (A–Z), digits (0–9), and the hyphen (-).
- Domain names cannot begin or end with a hyphen.
- Label length: up to 63 characters per label (excluding the extension).
- Full domain (FQDN) length: up to 255 characters including separators.
- Minimum name length: 1 character (not counting the extension).
- One- and two-character domain names are allowed; names may begin with a digit.
