Overview
.mk is the country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) for North Macedonia. It is administered by the Macedonian Academic Research Network (MARnet). Introduced on 23 September 1993, the zone supports registrations at the second level and under several restricted second-level domains. As of 2022-12-17, MARnet reported 29,938 registered .mk domains.

- Since 2008 MARnet began allowing registrations directly at the second level ("example.mk") in addition to the traditional third-level registrations beneath labels such as .com.mk and .org.mk.
- The internationalized Cyrillic ccTLD .мкд was officially approved and registered on 20 March 2014.

Registration Rules
- Second-level registrations (.mk) are available to anyone; Macedonian local presence is not required. All individuals and legal entities have the right to register under .mk.
