Overview
.pe is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Peru. Created on 25 November 1991, it is managed by the Red Científica Peruana (RCP) and operates through the NIC PE/punto.pe registry. The zone supports registrations at both the second level and third level, and is widely used in Peru (140,210 registered domains as of 3 February 2022).

- Reserved in the second level specifically: any TLD listed in the IANA table and the terms "nic", "whois", "punto" and "www".
- Allowed characters:
- Letters a–z, digits 0–9, the hyphen (-), and the Spanish characters á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ.
- Length: minimum 1 character, maximum 63 characters.
- Hyphen rules: hyphen cannot appear at the beginning or end of the domain; it also cannot appear simultaneously in the third and fourth positions.
