      • Allowed characters: Latin letters, digits and hyphen for ASCII names; Cyrillic and approved characters per the Cyrillic IDN policy for IDN names.
      • Hyphen restriction: names must not have hyphens simultaneously in positions 3 and 4.
      • IDN names must begin with the "xn--" prefix in their ASCII (Punycode) form and contain at least one unique Cyrillic character for Cyrillic registrations.
    • Transliteration and symbol handling policies:
      • Official transliteration standards are used to convert Cyrillic to Latin for domain purposes.
      • Some characters not allowed in domain labels (e.g., "&", "/", ".", "@", spaces) may be substituted with English-word equivalents (e.g., "and") or omitted; substitutions may optionally be marked with hyphens.
      • Roman numerals in trademarks can be converted to Arabic numerals in the domain on request.
